Planning for the Future and Facing Adversity

I was once told that there are 5 types of learning abilities or quotients that determine a person survival and success on this earth, its either IQ1 (the conventional IQ), IQ2 (somehow forgot about about it, somewhat related to IQ1), EQ (Emotional Quotient), AQ (Adversity Quotient) and SQ (Spiritual Quotient).

On this entry, I prefer to focus on AQ. I remember during my days of naivete, I was tricked into a relationship with a man who kept showing me a copy of Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman, I eventually found out that he barely read the book and he was quite crappy in the relationship proving his emotional incompetence. Emotional intelligence is only part of the equation, whatever happened to me in my naivete days I now consider as learning experiences that will serve as another tool for me to plan for the future.

However, to trek towards the future, it is essential to make initial planning but how well planned it may seem we would always encounter a hurdle and how we deal with this hurdle will depend on our Adversity Quotient.
